As the session in the House of Representatives resumed this January 2015, ANGKLA Party-List is focused on the immediate passage of its pending bills. Presently, House Bill 2634 “The Anti-Ambulance Chasing Bill” already passed third reading in the House of Representatives. This bill seeks to protect not only the seafarers but all laborers from the unscrupulous acts of corrupt lawyers who have been taking advantage of labor claims and disputes causing seafarers and other laborers to suffer huge monetary losses.

Other house bills include House Bill 2780 “The Creation of a Philippine Merchant Academy in Mindanao,” House Bill 3270 “An Act Modernizing the Practice of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering in the Philippines,” House Bill 3647 “An Act Establishing the Scope and Procedure for Philippine Ship Registry.”
